بدون أدنى شك، كانت عملة “بت كوين” Bitcoin الرقمية حديث الشارع التقني خلال عام 2017، كيف لا وقيمتها انفجرت لتتجاوز حاجز الـ 11 ألف دولار أمريكي خلال فترة قياسية، الأمر الذي يجعل الاستثمار فيها حلم وأمل أي شخص على شبكة الإنترنت لتحقيق الأرباح بأسرع وقت ممكن.

من هنا تبرز أهمّية “إثيريوم” Ethereum التي يُمكن وصفها بأنها منصّة للعقود الذكية على الإنترنت تأتي لإلغاء فكرة المزوّد الأوحد أو الوسيط الذي قد يؤخّر إتمام العملية، والذي قد يتقاضى عمولة قد تكون مزعجة في بعض الأوقات.

ولأنها تعتمد على مبدأ اللامركزية، فإن عملة “بت كوين” مدعومة بشكل افتراضي. لكن هناك عملة افتراضية تُدعى Ether تابعة لهذه المنصّة، الأمر الذي يجعلها خيار ثاني للراغبين بالاستثمار في مجال العملات الرقمية بعد انفجار “بت كوين” وصعوبة الاستثمار فيها، إلا لأصحاب رؤوس الأموال الكبيرة.
